Social Media Manager & Content Strategist FAQs

  • We always recommend starting with a strategy session, unless you have a pre-existing strategy in place that is helping you achieve your goals.

    If your social media account is performing, growing, and connecting with your target audience, but you need extra support with content creation, postings, and engagement, a social media manager is for you. 

    On the flip side, if you are just starting a social media account or you have an existing account, but aren’t hitting your goals (number of followers, amount of engagement, traffic to website, sales, etc), then a session with one of our content strategists is a great place to start!

  • Yes, they can help guide you, however they are focused primarily on execution. So, if you want someone to come in and take a detailed look at your account performance, access your goals, and develop a strategy to help you reach those goals, we recommend bringing in a content strategist for a planning session.

  • Your social media manager will act as your creative director. If you already have a backlog of photos and videos, you can share those with your social media manager and they can use those for content. Plus, you don’t have to edit anything! You can share raw content and your SMM will make sure it’s polished before posting.

    If you don’t have any photo or video content, your social media manager can help creatively direct you and let you know what type of content you can provide to enhance your account. From tips on what is trending or performing well, to helping script talk to the camera videos, they are there to help guide you.

  • Yes! All of our social media managers are well-versed in creating short form content and customizing video content based on channel.

  • Of course! You will work with your social media manager to determine how you’d like to review the content we create for you, as well as the cadence for review. So, if you’d like to have us build out content a month in advance, so you can approve it for the next month, we can do that. If you prefer to work on a two week timeframe, we can do that as well. 

    We’re happy to plug into whatever tools and timeline work best for you.

  • Yes, your social media manager can handle all engagement. If there is ever a question or comment that arises that they don’t know the answer to, they will confer with you. Before starting work with your SMM, it can be helpful to provide any info on your business’s voice and tone, they can speak appropriately for your brand.
